Driven to Discover Citizen Science Curricula (UMN Extension)
The University of Minnesota Extension created four curricula on using citizen science in the classroom as a springboard for students to execute their own scientific investigations. Each curricula has a nature theme and is partnered with a citizen science program: Birds, Dragonflies, Pollinators, and Phenology.
I had the honor of being the lead author on three of the four curricula while working with an amazing team of educators, academics, and program coordinators. I’m so pleased with how they all turned out. You can download them all for free thanks to the National Science Foundation and the University of Minnesota.
I research and write interpretive wayside and exhibit text for parks, nature centers, and historical sites.
