Bird Blogs Bonanza
“The Twin Cities Naturalist [blog and] Podcast is an entertaining mix of phenology, trivia, natural history and interviews…”
Blog authors and podcast hosts “Kirk Mona and Paul Smithson are professional naturalists living in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.” From their posts, I gather that they work at Warner Nature Center.
This newly hatched blog has a strong focus on birds and birding with some great photos and videos. I haven’t listened to any of the podcasts yet, but hope to soon.
Ecobirder is another local, St. Paul, birding blog: “The goal of Ecobirder is to use photographs, facts, and stories to entertain, educate, and inspire people about the natural world around us.” You want more? Check out the Minnesota Birdnerd.
If you just can’t get enough of nature blogs click-on-over to the Nature Blog Network – aggregator of nature blogs.
I’m working on a revamp for this website including adding a blog role for local nature blogs and an RSS feed to help mediate my sporadic posting habits. Stay tuned!
