Albino Trees

 Yup! They do exist.

Lacking chlorophyll, albino redwoods can’t photosynthesize; instead they suck energy from another redwood’s roots.

The article I linked to above mentions that redwoods are the only albino conifer. However, I wonder if deciduous trees can develop viable albino individuals? If so, are there any here in Minnesota? If anyone knows please send me an email.

The MN DNR’s Conservation Volunteer magazine created an awesome article on albino creatures a while back. (FYI the linked article is a pdf.)
